Kompas Gramedia Tabloids Select WoodWing

Press release from the issuing company

Zaandam, The Netherlands (March 31, 2008) – Two specialty newspapers in Indonesia - the sports newspaper BOLA and the health publication Gaya Hidup Sehat - have selected WoodWing's Smart Connection Enterprise and the Adobe Creative Suite for their new editorial platform. Both publications are part of the Kompas Gramedia Group.

The tabloid BOLA is Indonesia's top sports newspaper, and also publishes a monthly magazine, Bola Vaganza. Both publications have been serving the market for more than 20 years. The tabloid Gaya Hidup Sehat (GHS), meanwhile, has been the country's leading publication covering areas such as sports science, health and psychology since 2001. As part of their media convergence strategy, both publications decided to install WoodWing's Smart Connection Enterprise as their new editorial workflow solution.

"In our quest to provide strong products for multiple media platforms, we needed a flexible and proven solution we can rely on. That's the reason we choose WoodWing as the editorial platform" said Mr. Ian Situmorang, Director of Sports & Healthy Life Style Media (MEDIOR)."

WoodWing's Authorized Solution Partner Serious Technology Sdn Bhd. handled the implementation. The solution involved migration into the Adobe Creative Suite platform, advanced InDesign training and consulting conducted by InDesignConsultants.com, introducing InCopy and InDesign Server with online real-time Web editing capabilities. The WoodWing Smart Connection Enterprise publishing platform helps to streamline the production environment and eliminates bottlenecks in the existing editorial workflow.

"Rolling out the second Kompas Gramedia Group's publishing arm with the WoodWing publishing solution shows the confidence in our solutions and our team; we strive to maintain our highest level of commitment to all of our clients," said John Fong, Chief Executive Officer of Serious Technology Sdn Bhd.

"WoodWing continues to prove itself in this region; our workforce in the Asia Pacific region has grown more than 100 percent in the last 12 months and this shows our commitment to the region," added Remco Koster, Managing Director of WoodWing Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd.
