Mohawk Wins Best of Show at ON DEMAND

Press release from the issuing company

Cohoes, NY. April 01, 2008 -- Mohawk Fine Papers Inc. was awarded Best of Show in the category of Innovations in Paper Usage and Substrates at the 2008 ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition held in Boston March 3rd through the 6th.  Mohawk, the only paper manufacturer to receive one of the nine Best of Show awards, received its award for the carbon neutral Beckett Cambric line, which debuted at the conference.
Mohawk's Senior Vice President Marketing and Business Planning, Craig Slemp, was at the awards presentation to accept on behalf of Mohawk.  "The relaunch of Beckett Cambric has made this historic linen-textured paper a much-needed and contemporary alternative to what is available.  Beckett Cambric has modern colors, heavier weights, is FSC certified and made carbon neutral, and is another addition to Mohawk's offering of textured papers engineered to run on HP Indigo presses," says Slemp.
The ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition is the world's leading digital printing conference and exposition, encompassing all of the technologies that are used to create, manage, personalize, print and deliver content.  InfoTrends, a leading market research and consulting firm in the digital imaging and document solutions industry, partnered with the ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition to produce the awards program.   The competition was juried by professionals from the graphic arts and printing community.  The judges were chosen for their accomplishments and extensive knowledge in this market and its technologies.  Judges used a weighted combination of subjective and objective criteria in making their selections for Best of Show.

"Mohawk continues to be a leader in the premium digital printing paper market," noted Jeff Hayes, President, InfoTrends.  "The judges recognized Beckett Cambric not only for its exceptional print quality and range of weights, colors and finishes, but also for the carbon neutral production processes Mohawk uses to manufacture the product."
