Press release from the issuing company

Orlando, FL (NEXPO – Booth #2141) – April 21, 2007 – Agfa Graphics today announced that The Chicago Sun-Times has selected Agfa's :Arkitex system to handle workflow at three of its production sites in Chicago, IL, Ashland, IL, and Fox Valley, IL. Implementation is scheduled for late spring. "The Chicago Sun-Times is one of the ten largest daily newspapers in the United States and its parent company prints many more publications at company-owned facilities," said Agfa's Sheila Nysko, business development manager, North America, Newspapers Systems. The Chicago Sun-Times purchased :Arkitex to improve their workflow productivity at both their flagship newspaper, which has a circulation of 368,000, as well as more than 100 community papers throughout the region. :Arkitex Director, Agfa's most advanced workflow system for newspapers, acts as a control center for the entire workflow, automating complex tasks with ease and allowing users to monitor production all the way to press. :Arkitex Producer organizes, prioritizes and routes pages to multiple RIPS, imagesetters and proofers, enabling them to run at full speed so that productivity can be increased and turnaround time shortened. The :Arkitex GRAFIX RIP is an expandable, high-performance PostScript language interpreter that meets the demands of deadline color production.
