Standard Register Expands its Services to the Manufacturing Industry

Press release from the issuing company

DAYTON, Ohio (March 18, 2008) – Continuing its effort to meet the needs of manufacturers, Standard Register today announced the addition of a warehouse and distribution facility specializing in printed production parts at its Modesto, Calif., location.

This follows an earlier announcement on the expansion of the company's Manufacturing Parts Solutions Client Services team in Dayton, Ohio. Standard Register is a leading provider of document and print management services.

This additional warehouse and distribution facility specializes in small order and less-than-carton quantities of printed production parts, which include labels and technical literature. The site will use Standard Register's Label Management Inventory System (LMIS), an online customer catalog and inventory system. The LMIS inventory management tool and digital repository helps customers control and streamline printed production parts through manufacturing requirements planning (MRP) demand flow, Kanban or min-max scenarios.

The Modesto facility will complement the company's Columbus, Ohio, manufacturing distribution center as well as its manufacturing and service center in Monterrey, Mexico, which provides quick-turn label production, limited variable imaging, warehousing and kitting capabilities.

"With this facility addition, Standard Register is able to better service its manufacturing customers located in the western United States, particularly benefiting those that need nationwide distribution and just-in-time delivery of critical production parts," said Mike Gibson, director of business development, Standard Register. "This is a huge step forward as we continue to find ways to help our manufacturing customers grow their businesses and reduce costs."

Standard Register is the industry-leading single-source provider of printed production parts, which include labels, manuals and supplies for manufacturers. The combination of award-winning products, services and resources are designed to improve workflow and accuracy while reducing labor, material and inventory costs. Standard Register offers an extensive Manufacturing Parts Solutions program, which includes the company's MAP3 assessment process, compliance and risk mitigation, cost reduction, digital transition, global support and account development centers.
