Pitman Company Acquires National Graphic Supply

Press release from the issuing company

TOTOWA, NJ, July 14, 2008 — Pitman Company, the leading independent North American graphic arts supplier, announced today that they have acquired National Graphic Supply of Albany, New York.

National Graphic Supply, founded in 1927, serves commercial printers within a 125-mile radius of Albany, New York. In addition, they serve over 1200 daily newspapers nationwide including newspaper groups Gannett, Page Co-op and Scripps Howard. National Graphic Supply provides quality solutions for prepress, digital imaging, printing, wide format printing and supplies.

Joe Demharter, President of Pitman Company, commented: “National Graphic Supply is a perfect fit for Pitman. They solidify our coverage of the commercial printing market in the Northeast, and their newspaper segment is very complementary to our own newspaper market.”

Todd Kletter, President of National Graphic Supply, stated: “We have had a very enviable eight decades of financial success. Our printing business is the last remaining single branch operation and as such, we have made a decision to divest this business segment. We will continue to own and grow our law enforcement segment which will be known as National Law Enforcement Supply. In choosing Pitman to divest our printing business, we believe we have found a company that is good for our customers, manufacturers and employees.”
