EPG To Feature Keycolor Ink Control Technology At Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

Centerbrook, CT ( July 11, 2008)—EPG (Essex Products Group) announces that it will exhibit technologically advanced remote ink control systems that deliver consistent color, minimize makereadies, and reduce running waste at Graph Expo 2008, McCormick Place, Chicago, IL, October 26-29, 2008. Among the technologies to be presented by EPG will be the KeyColor C ink desk featuring KeyColor AutoSet presetting software. The KeyColor C is an economical ink control system that provides user-friendly, computerized control of fountain ink keys. Press operators are able to rapidly adjust ink key settings from a central ink desk to speed makeready and reduce waste. KeyColor AutoSet automatically utilizes the output of CTP or image setter workflow to preset the ink keys on each fountain on the press for even faster makereadies and greater waste reductions. Visit EPG in booth 3087.

EPG will also display the KeyColor S ink desk which is designed for smaller presses. The KeyColor S has all the capabilities of larger KeyColor ink desks and can couple with KeyColor AutoSet and AutoKey software. KeyColor AutoKey provides the interface with color measuring devices, such as scanning densitometers, spectrophotometers, or read-on-the-web systems for closed-loop color control. It automatically adjusts the ink keys on the press to achieve target densities across the page.

Tying together a KeyColor ink desk with KeyColor AutoSet and AutoKey software provides printers with a complete printing system and allows them to achieve the most benefits. A KeyColor Remote Ink Control System can be fitted to large and small presses without machining. KeyColor Systems are available as original equipment from many commercial and newspaper press manufacturers and can be easily retrofit to both sheetfed and web presses.
