PODi Announces New Digital Solution Selling Seminar Series

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY - April 19, 2007 - PODi, the Digital Printing Initiative, announces a Solution Selling seminar series that will be presented in ten North American cities to help print professionals achieve better sales results. "These programs are the most heavily attended intensives at the annual PODi Application Forum because they supply practical know-how about solution selling. Now we are making these popular seminars easily available to a wider range of print professionals," said Caslon & Company General Manager, Dave Erlandson. The seminars are presented by Kate Dunn of the Digital Innovations Group, www.digcreative.com. This award-winning firm specializes in targeted sales campaigns and collateral and is well known throughout the digital printing industry. Attendees may choose to attend one or both of the day's sessions. Seminar sponsors include HP, Adobe, IKON, Ricoh, Mohawk Paper, Pageflex, and "Printing Impressions" magazine. The morning program, "Selling Digital Printing - Transitioning from Order Taker to Solution Provider," is targeted to all levels of sales experience. It will benefit attendees who are new to digital print sales, as well as established professionals who want to take their skills to the next level. Highlights of this session include getting decision makers to return your voice mail; conducting effective meetings with C-level decision makers; and how to present, negotiate and close more sales opportunities. The afternoon session, "Hiring, Compensating and Managing a Digital Sales Force," will benefit owners, top executives and sales managers. It will address the problem faced by companies that have invested in digital printing technology, but that still struggle with stale sales growth. Attendees will learn characteristics of a successful sales professional, how to find and attract the best sales people, and strategies for transitioning a sales force to Solution Selling. The afternoon will also feature an in-depth review of actual sales compensation models to help attendees understand how to improve their own programs. The Solution Selling Seminar Series dates and cities are: May 15, Vancouver, BC May 17, Chicago June 12, Dallas June 13, San Francisco September 18, Long Beach September 20, Minneapolis October 2, Atlanta October 3, Philadelphia October 4, Boston November 7, New York City Registration for each half-day seminar is $125 for PODi and PIA/GATF members and $200 for all others.
