HP Partners with SmartDraw.com to Help Customers Create & Print Business Graphics in Minutes

Press release from the issuing company

SAN DIEGO Sept. 26, 2007 - SmartDraw.com, creator of SmartDraw, the world's most popular business graphics software, announced it has partnered with Hewlett Packard's Imaging and Printing Group to offer HP customers SmartDraw software at a special price with the purchase of HP printers, scanners, and digital cameras. The partnership enables HP customers to take advantage of a winning combination--quality HP equipment and SmartDraw software at a great price.
"We're pleased HP has decided to offer SmartDraw alongside its products," said Paul Stannard, CEO, SmartDraw.com. "Many companies are moving towards printing more documents in-house due to the high costs of outsourced printing, and HP's innovations in printer technology give companies excellent printing choices. Using SmartDraw with HP printers sets up the perfect environment for printing colorful, professional-quality business graphics in house."
"Hewlett-Packard believes the SmartDraw product to be an excellent tool that when used in conjunction with HP color printers generates high quality, vibrant, information rich documents that enhance our customers' abilities and helps them communicate more effectively," said HP's Steve Auerbach, Director of IAB.
"We believe that SmartDraw products are a strategic enhancement for customers using HP printers," Stannard said. "SmartDraw provides a reason for business people to use color printers more often in the workplace."
Partnering with SmartDraw allows HP customers to take advantage of software that automates the creation of business graphics such as flowcharts, org charts, mind maps, project charts, bar charts, and more. Unlike other graphics programs that provide users with a blank screen and expect them to draw, with SmartDraw users start with a template that is specifically designed to create the type of illustration that they need. Users enter the information and SmartDraw does the rest: building the graphic automatically using built-in rules and professional design themes to guarantee polished, presentation-quality results in minutes. SmartDraw includes more than 20,000 pre-drawn images and graphics, and features one-click exporting to MS Office, WordPerfect, Adobe PDF and many other commonly used programs and products.
SmartDraw is available in a variety of licensing options and programs for organizations of all sizes. Individual licenses start at $297 while department-wide licenses begin at $1495. A free trial is available at: www.smartdraw.com and includes both online and telephone technical support.
