OneVision Announces New PDF Reporting Capabilities for Asura Enterprise
Press release from the issuing company
REGENSBURG, Germany & JERSEY CITY, N.J.--Sept. 20, 2007-- OneVision, a global provider of prepress and premedia software solutions to the printing and publishing industries, announced the launch of the newest version of Asura Enterprise, the online file transmission system that streamlines the file flow from customer to prepress.
The latest version of Asura Enterprise includes new PDF error reporting features. With these capabilities, users receive an on-screen depiction of the production file and a detailed status report with descriptions of any faulty elements that may exist in the file. Files issues can then be resolved before production.
Printers and publishers around the world use Asura Enterprise, which provides customers with the ability to remotely upload their files into the prepress workflow. After uploading a file, the customer receives an almost immediate response via e-mail. If the file can be processed successfully, the e-mail contains a log report and a softproof. In case of a defective file, the customer receives the log report and a PDF Error Report, which depicts and describes the faulty elements.
Norman Hildenbrand, Technical System Administrator of BNN, Karlsruhe, Germany, is excited about the new features of Asura Enterprise: "Asura Enterprise is one of the key functionalities in our print production workflow, and has been very well accepted by our customers to transmit their files. The new reporting features in Asura Enterprise offer totally new possibilities by providing our clients with more detailed information about the quality of their uploaded files."
Hildenbrand continues, "Our customers can see problematic elements 24/7 without delays, long error searches, or long discussions, because everybody sees immediately what must be corrected. With the new reporting features of Asura Enterprise, we will be able to provide even better service and convenience to our customers."
