(TABS) today launched the versatile e-STUDIO450s/500s series as the latest addition to its multifunction product (MFP) offerings, providing outstanding document output performance and intuitive document handling capabilities through a bold, adjustable touch screen.  The e-STUDIO450s/500s is a robust, attractively priced, multifunction printer excellent for workgroups of all sizes who need a feature-rich MFP at a reasonable price.  The
e-STUDIO450s/500s is an exceptional value for mid-size workgroups that need high quality printing, color scanning, copying and faxing of up to legal-sized documents.

Multifunction Printer, Color Scanner, Copier and Fax
The Toshiba e-STUDIO450s/500s print and copy at a high speed of 45 pages-per-minute (PPM) and 50 PPM respectively.  This monochrome multifunction printer series has a first-print-out time of just 8.5 seconds and first-copy-out-time of only 7.5 seconds, requiring little to no wait time, increasing user productivity. 
Printing convenience is maximized through direct printing of PDF and other image files from a USB flash drive using the USB direct interface on the front of the machine.  Scanned documents also can be saved to the USB flash drive as an image file through the direct interface.
The e-STUDIO450s/500s offers a unique legal-sized flatbed scanner that processes most documents, including bound items such as a book or report. In addition to the flatbed scanner, the e-STUDIO450s comes equipped with an integrated automatic document feeder (ADF) that provides efficient document input of up to 50 sheets, while the e-STUDIO500s comes equipped with a single pass duplex ADF that can handle input up to 50 sheets.
The e-STUDIO500s specifically comes standard with a 40GB hard drive that provides additional functionality not offered on the e-STUDIO450s, including color scan preview, which allows users to review the first page of a scan job to verify settings and placement before it is printed; and custom job build, which enables the user to build a job with input from either the ADF or the flatbed scanner.
Advanced User Customization and Options
Designed to best fit a user's business needs, the e-STUDIO450s/500s can be configured with multiple paper input options to increase the paper capacity from the standard 600 sheets up to 4,100 sheets.  In addition, the e-STUDIO450s ships standard with a 10,000-page yield toner cartridge, and has a 21,000-page yield cartridge available as a replacement.  The e-STUDIO500s ships with a 21,000-page yield toner cartridge, while offering both 21,000- and 32,000-page yield cartridges as replacement options. 
Security
The e-STUDIO450s/500s offers advanced security features, including support for IPv6, IPSec, SSL, SNMPv3, 802.1x authentication to provide secure management and network communications.
In addition to the above features, the e-STUDIO450s/500s also offers support for Windows Vista.  The e-STUDIO450s/500s is now available through Toshiba's nationwide network of dealers for a suggested list price of $1,499 and $2,999 respectively.
