Press release from the issuing company

Carlstadt, NJ & Itasca, IL, April 11, 2007 – Strategic Content Imaging, Inc. (SCI), a leading provider of digital color printing solutions, has installed a Xeikon 6000 digital color press. SCI has built a successful business model that focuses on providing comprehensive communications solutions to its customers. With the addition of the Xeikon 6000, the fastest digital color press offering graphic arts quality, SCI will further leverage its content management and production capabilities. According to Burt Scherman, President of SCI, “Our core competency is in the preparation, management and on-demand delivery of data and graphics. Coupled with our intense focus on client satisfaction, these unique capabilities distinguish us from our competitors and position us to best meet the needs of our customers, both now and in the foreseeable future.” “At SCI, we know that success is not to be taken for granted. We are committed towards providing outstanding customer service and implementing advanced technologies that provide our customers with tools to further their success. The addition of a Xeikon 6000 with an inline finishing solution for the automated production of book blocks is a perfect example of this approach. It will enable us to strengthen our value-proposition in the educational publishing market. In addition, it opens up new application opportunities for us that can’t be produced on other digital color devices, providing us a sustainable competitive advantage,” concludes Mr. Scherman. With an unparalleled speed of 160 A4 pages (8.27” X 11.69”) per minute and a duty cycle of almost 4,000,000 pages per month, the Xeikon 6000 sets new standards in digital color printing, enabling customers to achieve higher production volumes and increased profits. The Xeikon 6000 includes a new Digital-Front-End (X-800) and Form Adapted (FA) toner that deliver outstanding quality and cutting-edge workflow management tools. In addition, the Xeikon 6000 is extremely flexible: it handles paper stock from 40 gsm/27 lb text to 350 gsm/122 lb cover and runs the widest array of substrates in the market, including paperboard. Being web-fed, it has unbeatable format flexibility running substrate widths from 12.6” to 20” and unlimited, flexible image length. In addition, it is the only high volume digital color press that prints on both sides of the substrate in a single pass (One-Pass-DuplexTM Printing). All these capabilities make it a perfect fit for SCI’s print applications, including educational textbook production. “SCI is a prime example of a company that understands the value-proposition of digital color print technology. They have carefully developed applications and identified the technology solution to most efficiently add value. We are happy to be a part of their continued success,” says Robert Mayerson, VP-Digital Sales, North America, Punch Graphix Americas.
