Xerox Highlights Profitable Print Applications, Offers One-on-One Expert Advice in "Conversation Stations" at Graph Expo
Press release from the issuing company
September 10, 2007 -- Xerox Corporation continues to emphasize to graphic communications professionals that they can grow print volume and profits by creating new revenue-generating applications. At Graph Expo 2007, Xerox will focus its efforts on the "how" - showing them digital printing systems and workflow software used to produce these print jobs and sharing expertise about how to transition current applications to digital printing and develop a host of new ones.
Visitors to Xerox's Graph Expo booth (No. 1219) can explore eight "Conversation Stations" and engage Xerox experts in discussion about the hottest industry trends and the tools and resources Xerox offers to meet the specific needs of each individual print provider. The stations will highlight the most profitable print jobs that digital print makes possible, including collaterals by request, direct-mail pieces, transactional documents that integrate promotional messages or short-run digital books - including photo books. In addition, Xerox experts will offer advice and identify resources to help print providers plan their digital businesses or unify shops with offset and digital systems.
"Applications are not new to Xerox, we've been working with customers on implementing key applications for a long time as part of our New Business of Printing strategy," said Valerie Blauvelt, vice president of marketing, Xerox Production Systems Group. "At Graph Expo we're showing attendees how they can grow their businesses and make money with many new and innovative print jobs."
Xerox's industry-leading digital printing product portfolio and associated supplies, software and support will be on display. In the booth will be the flagship Xerox iGen3 110 Digital Production Press, the new DocuColor 8000AP Digital Press, Xerox Nuvera 288 Digital Perfecting System, Xerox Nuvera EA Digital Production System and Xerox 495 Continuous Feed Duplex Printer along with new light production and wide-format product offerings. Also on display will be enhancements to Xerox's FreeFlow Digital Workflow Collection, which helps print providers improve efficiency and simplify the production process, and the ProfitAccelerator Digital Business Resources portfolio, which help them secure new business opportunities.
"Many in the print industry are still uncovering the full potential of digital printing equipment," said Noel Ward, managing director of OnDemand Publishing and executive editor of OnDemand Journal.com. "By focusing on the 'how' of bringing new applications on line and making it easier to get advice from experts, Xerox can help customers get the most out of their technology investments and even gain an edge on the competition.
Graph Expo, North America's largest printing show in 2007, runs from Sept. 9 - 12 at McCormick Place South in Chicago. Visit Xerox's Graph Expo Web page to learn more about how to produce and sell the hottest money-making print applications.
