Fish Wrapped in Foil
With a platen size of 22" x 30", the EHG Series Half-Sheet Press can accommodate a sheet size of up to 23" x 31" and is available as an automatic die cutter or with foil stamping & embossing capabilities.
At Graph Expo this year, the EHG will run a "trophy" 20" x 28" preprinted tropical fish scene. The fish will be stamped using combination dies supplied by H & M and foil from Kurz Transfer products and on stock courtesy of Xpedx. Multi-level dies will be used to provide various embossing depths highlighting details in the fish with 5 different colors in a single pass. Kluge creates new backbone for in-line finishing work-flows
Most finishing operations are considered stand-alone. As labor and lead-time becomes the center of purchasing decisions, companies are increasingly looking at linking multiple operations. Tipping, inserting, folding/gluing, scoring, wafer sealing, shrink-wrapping, taping, label application, and bar code printing are some of the targets. The issue has been cost, footprint and versatility. In-line systems are traditionally very expensive and occupy a large and dedicated footprint with custom-integrated sections that can't be a part of another workflow.
