Xitron Signs OEM Agreement With LithoTechnics

Ann Arbor, Michigan and Phoenix, Arizona – September 6, 2007 – Xitron, the prepress industry's leading independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors, RIP management software and workflow solutions, today announced it has signed an OEM agreement with LithoTechnics, Inc., the developer of Metrix integration and automation software. Under terms of the agreement, Xitron will sell the entire line of Metrix solutions on a worldwide basis to complement its existing line of workflow solutions for commercial and on-demand markets.
Metrix solutions enhance Xitron’s existing workflow solutions by introducing additional powerful integration and automation features and capabilities such as:
- Imposed PDF output for 21” and 30” with Metrix Mini
- Imposed PDF, JDF/PDF, Preps® Templates up to 144” with Metrix Commercial
- CIP3, JDF cutting and folding data
- Automatic ganging of up to 160 products per sheet with Metrix Ganging
- Full capabilities of all Metrix solutions with Metrix Max
- Single or Multi-user versions for Macintosh® and Windows®

The Metrix family, for Macintosh and Windows, includes Mini Metrix, for the smaller print shop, in 21" and 30" versions, with imposed PDF output. Metrix Commercial, for the general commercial printer, accommodates sheet sizes of up to 144" and outputs imposed PDF, JDF/PDF, or Preps® templates, along with export of CIP3 and JDF cutting and folding data. Metrix Ganging, for gang run printers, automatically imposes up to 160 products per sheet, and Metrix Max, the top of the range, includes the complete functionality of all editions.  Metrix Commercial, Ganging, and Max are also available with multiple user site licenses, and the whole Metrix family is available in English, German and Spanish.
