Quark Names Mark Benfer Senior Vice President of Sales for North America

DENVER - September 4, 2007 -- Quark announced today that Mark Benfer has joined the company as senior vice president of sales for North America. A member of the Quark leadership team reporting to Quark President and CEO Ray Schiavone, Benfer is responsible for leading the company's direct and channel sales activities across North America and driving key growth initiatives in the desktop and enterprise markets.
Benfer brings more than 20 years in technology sales to his role at Quark, including global experience in building and managing sales teams with market-leading companies. Most recently Benfer served as senior vice president of worldwide sales for HealthMedia. Previous positions included vice president of worldwide sales at Arbortext and a 17-year tenure with GE and GE-owned subsidiaries.
"Mark brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of technology sales," said Schiavone. "His expertise will help us expand our reach in North America by strengthening and building new relationships with customers and partners as we drive new initiatives across our desktop and enterprise businesses."
Benfer earned a bachelor's of commerce from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, and an MBA from Oxford Brookes University in Hedington, England.
