Printech Plus Installs Five-color Komori Lithrone S40 Press

Press release from the issuing company

Rolling Meadows, IL, December 2, 2008 – Komori America Corporation, a premier manufacturer of sheetfed and web offset printing presses, today announced it has installed a fully automated five-color, Lithrone S40 (LS540) press with coating capabilities at Printech Plus in Salt Lake City, Utah. Providing high quality printing and packaging to the retail, marketing, and fine art industries, Printech Plus chose the LS540 to gain enhanced printing capabilities.

Printech Plus analyzed each benefit the best 40-inch presses in the market offered. While Komori's LS540 was under review, their team did some test prints and toured multiple live shops operating with Komori presses on the West Coast. "We were impressed with the extremely quick makeready. We were seeing these printers get up to color in 50 sheets on Komori presses," said Paul Hatch, president of Printech Plus. "When you're looking at the total benefits a 40-inch press can offer, Komori wins, hands down. It took just one month to get the press installed with the help of the dependable Komori service team, and we were ready to start printing. After doing a recent cost analysis, we found we are already reducing both operating and energy costs."

The LS540 also contributes to Printech Plus' dedication to environmental respect and sustainability. The company is both FSI and FSC certified, and is the only printer in the Salt Lake City area market to be a part of the Green Print Alliance. Printech Plus appreciates the press' use of a non-alcohol dampener, oilless bearings and the new low-waste spray powder, reducing environmental pollution and yielding a significant reduction in paper and liquid waste.

"Printech Plus is a company that is dedicated to offering customers a high quality, environmentally-safe product with an excellent customer service experience. With the LS540, it can offer its valued customers even more printing options at a more competitive price," said Paul Peyrebrune, vice president of sales, for Komori's Western Region. "We're pleased to offer Printech Plus a reliable press that not only lowers their operating costs, but also expands their printing capabilities."
