Neopost Introduces Intelligent System Series

Press release from the issuing company

(December 01, 2008) Neopost, the worldwide provider of mailing and shipping solutions, introduces its new IS Series of intelligent systems that help meet mail room needs. Offering state-of-the-art technology and online services, these inclusive solutions deliver enhanced productivity and sleek, ergonomic designs that are easily integrated into the business environment.

Operational Efficiency ensures maximum uptime and business continuity

Easy to operate and convenient to use, the IS Series machines are fast and efficient. With the ability to "Load 'n Go", manual sorting is eliminated as envelopes of various sizes and formats can be placed into the mixed-size, self-aligning feeder. Once the start button is pressed, mail is sorted by size, thickness and weight, processed, and automatically sealed at up to 150 letters per minute.

Equipped with a Neopost Dynamic Scale, mail processing time is reduced and operations simplified. The Dynamic Scale provides an ideal solution to meet the requirements of USPS Shape-Based Pricing, as the units feature a patented four-point detection system that will automatically measure the length, width, thickness and weight at speeds of up to 90 letters per minute.

With an innovative Differential Weighing mode, the IS Series can accurately weigh mixed mail and calculate postage. Users simply place a stack of mixed mail on the weighing platform and remove an envelope. Differential Weighing mode calculates the correct postage for the piece. Smart Start technology works with Differential Weighing by automatically starting the Auto Feeder for mail processing, or quickly affixing the dispensed Secure Stick postage labels.

Quality and Security guarantees integrity and traceability of mail

The IS Series permits businesses to enhance the professional look of mail by printing customized messages that promote customer relations. Advertising slogans or other text messages work to reinforce communication with customers. The machines set and embed mail class die to automatically print the correct class, resulting in time and cost savings.

Managing ink is also simplified with long-life cartridges featuring a Click 'n Snap design for faster cartridge insertion. The cartridges print a smaller 2D indicia barcode, IBI Lite, which optimizes ink yield and minimizes replenishment.

Secured mail delivery is possible with the IS Series' easy-to-access reservoir. The reservoir is designed to be efficiently removed for trouble-free filling and quick cleaning without spills.

Online Management allows for Budget Optimization

In order to optimize budget and control costs, most IS Series machines can be connected to a PC with Mail Accounting Software (MAS) installed. Ideal for companies seeking to track postage expenses in a detailed fashion, this reliable and cost-effective software allows users to collect, maintain and report on mail accounting data. Neopost's MAS increases efficiency and allows users to track and easily manage mail expenses, while ensuring that they are getting the best postal discounts.

Through Neopost Online Services, software upgrades and rate adjustments are automatically uploaded to the IS Series machines, eliminating the need of on-site visits by service technicians. Users proactively receive alerts via email about software upgrades, pending USPS rate changes, and even low ink levels. When sending out accountable mail, services like eConfirmation and eCertified are used to track mail and receive emailed status alters. Online Services provides convenient online access so that postage, mail class and department usage can be monitored.

Outstanding Customer Service

Offering clear and simple digital displays, the IS Series eliminates errors with a host of smart functions and simple menu prompts that are easy-to-read. The user-friendly Rate Wizard and shortcut keys help to both save time and ensure accuracy. Potential problems with postage are also eradicated with the assistance of Neopost Customer Support, offering automatic diagnostics with the IS product line.
