RBP Chemical Announces New Sheetfed Fountain Solution

Press release from the issuing company

Milwaukee, Wisconsin (December 01, 2008) - RBP Chemical Technology has announced the immediate availability of Unitrol 1600, a new fountain solution designed specifically for sheetfed presses.  The new product runs optimally on a wide variety of sheetfed equipment.  Using new Unitrol 1600 as a one step fountain solution completely eliminates the need for any alcohol or alcohol replacers, including on Heidelberg presses with Alcolor dampening systems.

RBP Unitrol 1600 incorporates a state-of-the-art wetting system which provides excellent surface tension control that reduces water settings for improved ink/water balance.  During beta tests on Komori, Heidelberg , Mitsubishi, and other selected sheetfed presses, Unitrol 1600 consistently had lower water settings than similar competitive products.  RBP Unitrol 1600 is also less aggressive to commonly used sheetfed inks.  It reduces ink feedback and ink buildup in dampening and recirculation systems.  Clean-ups and restarts are faster and easier when using the new fountain solution.  RBP Unitrol 1600 also minimizes attack on newer paper stocks, reducing calcium buildup on rollers, blankets, and plates.  Presses using the new fountain solution print cleaner and are easier to wash up.

Discussing new Unitrol 1600, RBP Director of Sales and Marketing Dan Romani said: "New Unitrol 1600 fountain solution is the latest in a long series of chemical products which make life easier for press operators and more profitable for press owners."
