Customer Feedback Continues to Drive Enhancements to EFI Web Solutions

Press release from the issuing company

Foster City, Calif. – April 3, 2007 – EFI, the world leader in digital controllers, superwide format printers and inks, and print management solutions, recently completed its second set of meetings of the company’s Web Products User Advisory Council, attended by more than 80 users. The council was formed last year from among the most active users of EFI Digital StoreFront™, the PrinterSite suite of products and PrintSmith Site to facilitate a two-way dialogue with those customers. The recent meeting, open to all current EFI Web product users, was the latest opportunity for customers to collaborate with EFI on the roadmaps for these increasingly important products. Users provided comments, feature requests, and innovative ideas, which EFI has now proven to include in releases. Since the first user council meetings, the company released PrintSmith Site version 2.5 and PrinterSite Fulfillment version 3.2, both of which included features based substantially on feedback from last summer’s council meetings. Rockwell Printing Inc. is a small commercial printer and a PrintSmith Site user. Bill Dayka, vice president, said: ”EFI does listen to their customer's needs. I provided feedback that resulted in changes to the software that makes it easier for me to run my business. EFI continues to improve and evolve their web products based on direct feedback from customers such as myself." “We were very excited about the attendance and level of engagement at the recent Advisory Council meetings, and have a whole list of new ideas to investigate that will make the Web solutions even stronger,“ said Chuck Gehman, director of product marketing at EFI. “Just since our first meeting last summer we’ve shipped several product upgrades incorporating customer-suggested features, including a major revision of PrintSmith Site, so the process really does lead to tangible results. The meetings are a great way to gain new ideas and validate our product direction in a collaborative way.” EFI has recently created a set of online forums, where members of the Web User Advisory Council can share information, tips and tricks about their licensed products, amongst themselves and with EFI staffers. The new online forums provide a way for the user advisory council members to stay connected between meetings. Forums are available for Digital StoreFront, PrinterSite Exchange, PrinterSite Fulfillment, PrinterSite Internal and PrintSmith Site. EFI plans to hold Web Product User Advisory Council luncheons at the upcoming Connect conference, taking place June 10-13 at the Wynn Las Vegas (www.efi.com/connect07/). Another series of meetings will take place in the Fall. For those customers who attend the meetings, there will be exclusive on-going communications from the company throughout the year.
