Hingham, MA, USA (December 12, 2007) - GMG Americas, the US-based office of Germany-based GMG, developer and marketer of high-end color management and proofing solutions, announces that Paulo Monteiro has joined GMG as manager, Latin America. In his new role, Mr. Monteiro is responsible for building and managing distribution channels for GMG color management solutions throughout Central and South America.
Mr. Monteiro comes to GMG from TesteFinal in Portugal where, as technical manager, he was responsible for building an international reseller channel for GMG, Epson, Tecco and NEC products. He began his career at the newspaper, O Comercio de Porto, providing IT technical support and administration. Mr. Monteiro studied technology and information management at Esc. Sec. Filipa de Vilhena. He has also completed a number of courses in imagesetting, Glunz & Jensen processors, proofing, networking, and color management. He has been an instructor of color management for graphic arts at the Alquimia da Cor/Abware schools, and at the learning center of Universitá de Barcelona in Portugal.
"While Paulo has tremendous technical skills, particularly in color management, it is his keen understanding of the customer's environment and proven effectiveness in building and supporting distribution channels that we value the most," comments Jim Summers, president of GMG Americas. "He has the unique ability to understand and support the application, business and technology needs at both the customer and dealer levels. We look forward to his future achievements, building a strong sales and distribution network throughout Latin America."
