Mohawk Options 28x40 Size Now Available in More Basis Weights
Press release from the issuing company
November 27, 2007 - [Cohoes, NY] - Mohawk has just announced that it has increased its offering of the popular 28" x 40" sheet size in its Mohawk Options line. When Mohawk surveyed printers earlier this year, there was a strong agreement that 28" x 40" was a sheet size that was needed in a wider variety of basis weights. "Printers enjoy having the flexibility that a 28" x 40" sheet size offers for extra color bars or oversized projects. Larger size sheets allow for more pages up on the sheet, this creates less trim waste and shorter press runs - ultimately creating a more cost-effective and environmentally advantageous print run," says Richard LaBonge, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing.
Whether printing on a Komori, Heidelberg, Mitsubishi, or any other 40-inch press, printers agree that the availability of a 28" x 40" sheet gives them options:
"It's great to have extra room for multiple color bars and take off bars for more difficult jobs."
"Designers want to create bigger pieces and not be bound by paper size."
"28" x 40" sheets give us the choice of scoring and folding with the grain - always a first choice."
"Heavy coverage, perfecting, oversized pieces, larger brochures, that's why we need 28" x 40".
