Strategic Content Imaging Installs Additional Xeikon 6000 Digital Web Press

Press release from the issuing company

Carlstadt, NJ, November, 29, 2007 - Strategic Content Imaging, Inc. (SCI), a leading provider of electronic communications and digital print solutions, has installed an additional Xeikon 6000 digital web 5 color press. SCI has built a successful business model that focuses on providing comprehensive communications solutions to its customers. With the addition of the Xeikon 6000, the fastest digital web 5 color press offering graphic arts quality, SCI will further leverage its content management and production capabilities.
"Adding an additional Xeikon 6000 digital web press positions us to best meet the needs of our customers," said Burt Scherman, President of SCI.  "Our core competency is in the preparation, management and on-demand delivery of data and graphics. Coupled with our intense focus on client satisfaction, these unique capabilities distinguish us from our competitors and help us better service our customers."
With an unparalleled speed of 160 A4 pages (8.27" X 11.69") per minute and capabilities to produce almost 4,000,000 pages per month, the Xeikon 6000 Digital Web Press sets new standards in digital color printing, enabling our customers to achieve higher production volumes while reducing production costs. The Xeikon 6000 delivers outstanding print quality and is extremely flexible: it handles paper stock from 27 lb text to122 lb cover and runs the widest array of substrates in the market, including paperboard. Being web-fed, it has unbeatable format flexibility running substrate widths from 12.6" to 20" and unlimited, flexible image length. In addition, it is the only high volume digital color web press that prints on both sides of the substrate in a single pass. All these capabilities make it a perfect fit for our customer applications, including book production, direct mail campaigns, and marketing initiatives.
"The addition of a Xeikon 6000 with an inline finishing solution for the automated production of book blocks is a perfect example of this approach. It will enable us to strengthen our value-proposition in the book publishing market. In addition, it opens up new application opportunities for us that can't be produced on other digital color devices, providing our clients with a sustainable competitive advantage," concludes Mr. Scherman. "At SCI, we know that success is not to be taken for granted. We are committed to providing outstanding customer service and implementing advanced technologies that provide our customers with tools to further their success."
