Press release from the issuing company
April 5, 2007 -- MGI Digital Graphic Technology is now introducing the offline UV & Infrared UVarnish to complement its line of 4-Color digital presses and Finishing solutions for Paper and Plastic substrates.
The first and only "Push Button" UV coater available in the market. User-friendly and with the smallest foot print, the UVarnish was designed to compliment both digital and offset printed paper or plastic substrates (Paper coated and sealed plastic surfaces like PVC,PET etc..) without requiring a fulltime operator or a large amount of floor space.
The UVarnish is also the first UV coater system to protect your digital press investment with an “Automated Recovery System” that ensures personalized VDP sheets are not at risk. Friendly to the environment, the Uvarnish is also using a UV curing technology that is ozone free.
Depending on the type of substrates and applications, various varnish finish are available:
Matte, Glossy and Pre lamination varnish for plastic hot platen lamination
MGI rolled out the product at Graphics of the Americas show in Miami in March. The UVarnish will also be demonstrated at Print Fest – Long Beach, CA April 20 – 21, CTST – San Francisco, CA May 15 - 17, Graph Expo, Chicago, IL September 9-12 and SGIA – Orlando, FL October 24 -27.
