Humaneyes Announces Certification Of Oce Arizona 250 GT Flatbed UV Printer For Lenticular And Lensfree Printing
Press release from the issuing company
Jerusalem, Israel – July 30, 2007 -- Leading lenticular 3D software developer, HumanEyes Technologies, has announced certification of the Océ Arizona 250 GT flatbed UV printer to produce lenticular and LensFree prints using HumanEyes’ market-leading lenticular software solution, PrintPro 2.0. This certification marks a first step in the cooperation between the two companies to promote the lenticular opportunity among Océ’s flatbed customers.
Says Duby Hodd, CEO, HumanEyes Technologies: “We are delighted to be working so closely with Océ Display Graphics Systems to promote lenticular printing and be its partner of choice for this particular printing application. The Océ Arizona 250 GT machine coupled with HumanEyes’s PrintPro 2.0 software offers printers the opportunity to fully explore the exciting capabilities of lenticular printing on multiple substrates, as well as increase their margins by expanding services. As the Océ Arizona 250 GT is a flatbed printer with very high print resolution and high geometric accuracy, it offers printers real flexibility as they are able to print using either a thin lenticular lens or using our new LensFree technology.
“With a growing trend towards print companies’ customers looking for a one-stop-shop approach for their printing requirements, the ability to offer flatbed inkjet technology coupled with specialized printing applications creates a new and immediate revenue stream. By adding lenticular printing to Océ’s offering, it will not only help improve print companies’ profitability, but also help position Océ as a leader in high-end specialized printing.”
Gido van Praag, President and CEO of Océ Display Graphics Systems says: “We are pleased that HumanEyes Technologies has recognized the exceptional print quality of the Océ Arizona 250 GT, and has certified it to produce lenticular and LensFree prints from HumanEyes software packages. Océ and HumanEyes have worked together before to provide lenticular images from the Océ LightJet Series photo laser printers. HumanEyes’ insistence on delivering highest quality products fits well with our philosophy for the Océ Arizona 250 GT. Lenticular imaging is a distinctive and attention-grabbing method of visual communication requiring not only extremely high quality print output, but also consistent repeatability. Our customers will appreciate the ability to offer this unique application to their clients. This certification assures an enhanced level of compatibility and quality assurance that our mutual customers expect.”
Océ Arizona 250 GT Flatbed UV Printer
The Océ Arizona 250 GT is a UV curable flatbed inkjet machine that delivers exceptional, near-photographic image quality on rigid or flexible media using Océ VariaDot imaging technology. The Océ VariaDot technology uses a variable ink drop size from 6 to 42 picoliters producing sharp, crisp type and line work, smooth skin tones and solid colors.
HumanEyes PrintPro 2.0 and LensFreeTM Technology
HumanEyes PrintPro 2.0 is a powerful core lenticular & 3D technology that allows printers to open, modify and print Creative3D end files, which are created by designers. Using PrintPro 2.0, printers can make final adjustments to effects and colors using the product’s powerful production tools suite. PrintPro 2.0 maximizes printers’ productivity and profitability by making lenticular production predictable and efficient.
New HumanEyes LensFreeTM technology - now incorporated into its PrintPro 2.0 software for digital flatbed UV wide format printing - is enabling 3D effects and 2D animation to be printed directly on glass or acrylic (plexiglass), helping remove a major traditional lenticular printing barrier, namely, the high cost of production in terms of purchasing lenticular lenses. HumanEyes’s LensFreeTM technology offers a new cost-effective solution that has the potential to dramatically transform the market.
