Press release from the issuing company
March 16, 2008 -- In a move designed to more closely synchronize its sheetfed sales organization with evolving customer web press needs, MAN Roland Inc. has appointed Roland Ortbach to the post of Vice President of Corporate Accounts and Commercial Web Sales.
"Alignment of our corporate and commercial web sales approaches will help us respond more quickly and fully to prospects as well as current web users," stated Vince Lapinski, CEO of MAN Roland Inc. in making the announcement.
"As we streamline and sharpen our focus in this area," he added, "we an-ticipate seeing more synergies arise in the process of aligning our web and sheetfed strategies - all of which will put us even more in-step with the multiple, cross-format operational needs of so many printers today.
"Roland is ideally suited to head this web effort," Lapinski continued. "Over the past several years as Director of Corporate Accounts for the commercial web business, he has had an integral part in developing strong relationships with key customers." Ortbach was promoted to Vice President of Corporate Accounts last year.
"Furthermore, during his 24-year MAN Roland career to date, Roland has successfully performed critical roles in both the sheetfed and commercial web sides of our business - including Product Manager, Regional Sales Manager and Managing Director of our sheetfed business in Canada.
"Customers and co-workers alike will benefit," concluded Lapinski "as Roland spearheads efforts to integrate best practices throughout our busi-ness units."
