Press release from the issuing company

March 6 2008 -- The Graphic Arts Association (Trevose, PA) announces International Paper (Memphis, TN) as the Neographics 2008 Sponsor for Students.  All students who enter their pieces into the print competition will have the normal $25.00 student entry fee paid by the generous sponsorship of International Paper.

We are encouraging students to submit their best pieces to the competition.  Students can enter Neographics by completing an entry form which can be downloaded from our website at www.gaa1900.com, click on the Neographics Entry form web icon on the right side.

Neographics is one of the nation's largest regional graphic communications competitions dedicated to recognizing and rewarding excellence, quality and service that is generated within the graphic arts, packaging and converting industries.  This competition is an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their creative talents and abilities by submitting a piece they have either helped create or produced between February 1, 2007 and January 31, 2008. Students may submit as many pieces as they would like in as many categories.

"We are delighted that International Paper is helping area students to participate in the region's most prestigious event celebrating print.  In the printing industry there are career opportunities to suit almost any talent.  We are grateful to IP for helping us to reach out to young people who might be considering print as a career," stated, Margaret Baumhauer, President of Graphic Arts Association.

The culmination of Neographics 2008 will be celebrated during the award exhibition, ceremony and dinner on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia, PA.  The event will be attended by nearly 350 printing industry representatives and will commence with a cocktail hour and an exhibition of the winning entries.  We encourage students to attend Neographics because it provides a great opportunity to network with professionals in the graphic arts industry.  Students may contact Sandy Greenhalgh for more information on submitting entries or to attend the award exhibition, ceremony and dinner by calling 215-396-2300 or email [email protected].

The Graphic Arts Association is the only regional trade association for the printing industry in Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware.  The mission of the Graphic Arts Association is to be the leading resource for the printing and graphic communications industry in advocacy, education and information to enhance the strength and profitability of its members.
