Konica Minolta Acquires Hughes-Calihan; Increases Company Presence in Growing Southwestern

Ramsey, N.J. - November 19, 2007 - Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. ( Konica Minolta ), a leading provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies from the desktop to the print shop, today announced that it has acquired Hughes-Calihan, a full-service document and information management solutions provider. Servicing Arizona, Nevada, and California's Imperial Valley, Hughes-Calihan will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. and maintain its Phoenix headquarters and roster of 250 employees. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Hughes-Calihan was founded in Phoenix, Arizona and has been providing leading office technologies to a broad range of business and government agencies since 1918. Konica Minolta purchased Hughes-Calihan from the Hughes and Calihan families, 40-year veterans of the copier industry, who will continue to run the day-to-day operations of the company. A Konica dealer since 1993, Hughes-Calihan offers sophisticated equipment for virtually every critical office application, from copying systems to integrated computer networks to multi-media presentation technologies. Customer service representatives and technical support personnel consistently receive national recognition for their performance.
