November 13, 2007 - CHICAGO - Radius Solutions Ltd., the leading integrated Business Information Management/Enterprise Resource Planning provider for the packaging and printing industry, announced that Impressions Incorporated is implementing its PECAS Vision software to support the company's long-term business objectives and provide a single integrated system to manage information across its entire operations.
Founded in 1967, Impressions Incorporated enjoys a long standing history of combining innovation and reliability to deliver quality products that help drive superior performance for its clients. The organization provides a range of products in the areas of folding cartons, carded packaging, promotional packaging, marketing materials, manuals, inserts and labels. It serves companies in a variety of industries such as: pharmaceuticals, medical devices, HBA/personal care, specialty foods, computer software and private labels.
In order to keep pace with customers' needs, Impressions Inc. executives wanted to replace its existing in-house system -- that provided limited visibility into operations, with a fully integrated manufacturing ERP System, to gain additional efficiency and streamline operations throughout the organization. The new solution also needed to provide flexibility, along with real time Business Intelligence to facilitate the executive decision making process.
Selecting the right ERP partner was an important decision. The organization wanted a long-term partner with deep packaging and printing industry expertise. The company spent more than five years going through a comprehensive due diligence process to select its fully integrated ERP application partner. More than twenty vendors were initially considered before targeting three final candidates for system demonstrations then reference check requirements. "There were no work-arounds needed; the PECAS Vision system was able to accommodate our operating requirements right out of the box." said Mr. Jorgensen.
Impressions Inc., will implement the entire PECAS Vision Suite including: Sales and Production Estimating, Order Handling, Production Scheduling, Shop Floor Data Collection, Job Costing, Purchasing, Material Movement and Inventory Control. The application roll-out will start later this week and is expected to be complete across both of the organization's facilities by the end of next year.
