Smart Papers Upgrades Passport Recycled Line; New Swatchbook And Print Demonstration Issued

Press release from the issuing company

HAMILTON, Ohio, July 2, 2007—SMART Papers has upgraded and added four new colors to Passport, one of the earliest recycled and fiber-added printing paper lines in the U.S.  All Passport products now contain 30% post-consumer waste fiber.  The updated line is showcased in a new swatchbook, which doubles as a print demonstration.
SMART Papers is North America’s largest independent manufacturer and marketer of premium coated and uncoated printing papers.  Passport is its premier uncoated line of recycled, fiber-enhanced papers and maintains one of the industry’s largest palettes in smooth and felt finishes.
Designers have long sought fiber-enhanced papers to create dimensional pieces, giving them depth and visual texture as well as a ‘color-in-color’ look.  The Passport upgrade restructured the line so it now features only the papers of most interest to today’s printers, designers and end-users.
The swatchbook’s print demonstrations use black and white and color photos of European locales to illustrate the sophistication and visual depth these papers create.  It was designed by Memphis-based Chung Design and printed by Williamson Printing in Dallas.  Detailed notes on how Williamson printed each of the images are provided.
The line features a full spectrum of fiber-added hues and accent colors, including the addition of four new popular cover colors to its Felt offering—Coco, Urban Gray, Dark Blue and Serious Black.
The full Passport line now includes 14 colors in both smooth and felt finishes, six standard weights from 24-lb. writing to 110-lb. double-thick cover, all of which contain 30% post-consumer waste content, are acid free, chlorine free and archival.  The smooth finish writing and text sheets are laser, inkjet and copier guaranteed.
Its broad and unique offering makes the line ideal for reports, brochures, packaging, cards, folders, stationery and craft and hobby projects.  Matching envelopes are also available.
To obtain the new Passport swatchbook and print demonstration, contact your local paper merchant or call SMART Papers at 800-443-9773.
