OneVision Unveils New Features for Asura Prepress Software

Press release from the issuing company

REGENSBURG, Germany & JERSEY CITY, N.J.-- June 27, 2007-- OneVision, a global provider of prepress software solutions to the printing and publishing industries, introduces new features for Asura and Asura Pro, the company's flagship solutions that streamline and automate the preflighting, optimization and normalization processes in print production by automatically checking, correcting, and outputting files into several formats, including PDF, EPS and PostScript.
The latest release of OneVision Asura and Asura Pro is compatible for use with the 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows Vista Business operating system. OneVision's software now generates XML log files, which can then be analyzed automatically to save prepress operators additional time and effort in locating problematic files and helping to ensure on-time print production.
OneVision's color ink savings tool for Asura and Asura Pro, PlugINKSAVEin, has been further improved, providing users with greater ability to optimize and reduce the amount of expensive CMY ink required in the printing process. PlugINKSAVEin automatically maximizes the amount of more economical black ink - without affecting image quality or appearance of the final printed product.
Released in early 2007, PlugINKSAVEin is gaining positive attention. Gerhard Friedmann, division manager offset print of Georg Kohl GmbH & Co in Brackenheim, Germany, said, "We have tested OneVision's PlugINKSAVEin intensely. The printing quality is excellent and the significant ink cost reduction allows a short pay back period. The easy handling and configuration without additional color management expertise required has of course influenced our investment decision."
Friedmann continued, "PlugINKSAVEin is an ideal complement to our workflow. The combination of ink cost reduction, excellent printing quality and easy handling is convincing. Furthermore, we plan to implement PlugINKSAVEin also in our 4c digital printing."
Siobhain Towell, Vice President of Marketing, OneVision Inc., said, "OneVision continually focuses on making our software as easy to use and as beneficial to users as possible to help ensure the highest quality of production. The latest updates for Asura and Asura Pro exemplify this effort by offering new "plug and play" enhancements that require minimal, if any, user involvement or training to implement. Customers worldwide continue to tell us that "OneVision products work" and report that they see immediate results in both time and cost savings from our solutions."
