PRISCO exhibits sustainable innovations at Print '09
Press release from the issuing company
Newark, NJ - Prisco (Printers' Service) is pleased to announce the
introduction of innovative new options for the recycling of fountain solutions and solvents
at Print '09, September 11 - 16, 2009, in Chicago.
Prisco has been the leader in providing affordable products and systems that have minimized the impact on the environment since the introduction of the first commercially successful alcohol-free fountain concentrates almost 50 years ago. Prisco innovations are
always geared to provide the most cost effective, productive and practical answers for
print production. Our "Go Green with Prisco" initiative encompasses all of Prisco's sustainable technologies and the over 100 years of pressroom expertise.
REDUCE FOUNTAIN SOLUTION WASTE AND IMPROVE QUALITY
We are proud to lead the way, again, with even more cost effective systems for fountain
solution recycling with the introduction of the FloClear LS and FloClear HS systems. The
patented FloClear technology, winner of the GATF Intertech Award, is the world's leading
process for recycling fountain solutions at quality printing plants across the globe.
Fountain solution life is extended and its clarity maintained for months of press operation.
Prisco is excited to offer this world class technology at an even lower cost of entry.
The FloClear LS has the filtering capacity and performance ideal for customers with 29"
six-color or a 40" two-color press with a central circulator. The small footprint of the unit
allows for easy installation.
FloClear HS is a compact system for sheetfed press configurations of up to a six-color
40" with a central chiller. The HS is equipped with an advanced microprocessor control
panel (PLC), pump protection for high/low pressure, high- temperature shutdown and a
REDUCE WATER CONSUMPTION
Would you like to reduce waste water in your CTP plate production by up to 90%? Then
you should take a look at the PriscoTech WaterMizer. This system permits recycling and
reuse of plate processor wash water that used to go down the drain. The system has
added benefits of allowing a plate processor to be installed without having to move drain
lines and permits the use of "process water" to wash plates, thereby improving plate
REDUCE SOLVENT PURCHASES
We are pleased to offer the PriscoTech SolveKlene II Solvent Recycling Systems for
review at our booth. After several years of use in day-to-day production, SolveKlene II
has confirmed its durability and highly efficient performance. SolveKlene II has allowed
our customers to drastically cut solvent consumption, reduce VOC emissions, waste
hauling costs and overall operating costs. All these benefits are achieved while reducing
their overall negative impact on the environment.
LOWER VOC LEVELS
To round out our offering for sustainable production, Prisco will be showing our complete
range of low and no-VOC fountain concentrates, low-VOC solvents, ultra-low VOC aqueous coatings, energy-curable coatings and PREPAC products. Integrating these consumables into your production assures lowering of VOCs while increasing Quality and
