RIT Taps Into NAPL's Strategic Management Expertise For Its Printing Applications Laboratory Training Programs

PARAMUS, N.J., AUGUST 23, 2007 – The Printing Applications Laboratory (PAL) at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Rochester, N.Y., is adding a new dimension to its acclaimed industry education programs by offering programs developed and hosted by executives and consultants of NAPL (www.napl.org), the trade association for excellence in graphic communications management.
“Our new alliance with RIT is the latest reflection of NAPL’s ongoing commitment to industry education and advancement,” said Joseph P. Truncale, NAPL president and chief executive officer. “We are very excited about participating in this excellent program.”
“RIT has been a leading provider of training for the printing and imaging industries for over 50 years,” said Bill Garno, director of the Printing Applications Laboratory at RIT. “By partnering with NAPL, the premier provider of strategic management information and insights to graphic communications companies, we are able to add a new, much-needed dimension to our education offering, helping professionals gain both technical know-how and management expertise.”
Among the NAPL experts who will be hosting courses at RIT are Truncale, an expert in leadership development and company culture; Tim Fischer, NAPL executive vice president and chief operation officer, focusing on financial management issues; Ray Prince, NAPL vice president and senior consultant, and a leading authority on operational and production issues; and Howard Fenton, NAPL senior consultant, digital technologies, focusing on digital services and workflow efficiencies.

- Lithographic Relationships & Variables Ray Prince – September 26-28, 2007; and March 26-28, 2008
- UV Printing, Ray Prince – Oct. 2-4, 2007; and April 2 – 4, 2008
- Lithographic Troubleshooting Ray Prince – October 17-19, 2007; and April 16-18, 2008
- Workflow Management, Howard Fenton -- November 28-29, 2007 and April 16-17, 2008
- Web-to-Print , Howard Fenton -- January 29-30, 2008 and May 21-22, 2008
- Variable Data Printing, Howard Fenton -- March 19-20, 2008 and May 25-26, 2008
