Press release from the issuing company
Northbrook, Ill. (March 23, 2007) – GBC, an ACCO Brands company and market leader in the manufacturing and distribution of binding and laminating products, and Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS), a leader in digital imaging technology, have announced that GBC’s StreamPunchIII on-line punching system is now compatible with Toshiba’s newest digital color imaging solution series, the e-STUDIO 4500c/5500c.
The StreamPunch III for e-STUDIO4500c/5500c solutions is designed to speed on-demand production and save labor in office environments. Jobs can be printed, punched and ready-to-bind with Color Coil, WireBind, CombBind, ProClick, VeloBind and 3-hole binding styles.
As previously announced, TABS also has completed an agreement to resell GBC’s ProClick Pronto. This automatic binding solution can be added to the e-STUDIO/ StreamPunch III workflow to complete the automated production of bound books. The ProClick Pronto is available in two models: the P2000, a bind-only product, and the P3000, an all-in-one punch and bind unit.
“Enabling a color production workflow will enhance Toshiba’s complete product offering,” says Rick McCallion, Vice President of Product Technology and Partnering for GBC. “By offering their e-STUDIO units with the StreamPunch III, Toshiba is now in the position to offer an advanced finishing solution featuring color printing, document punching and document binding with ProClick Pronto.”
“With the StreamPunch III and the e-STUDIO4500c/5500c, Toshiba can provide departmental offices and light production facilities with an in-line punching solution and a variety of dies to support the most popular binding methods, saving valuable time when producing finished color output,” comments Kay Fernandez, Director, Solutions and Product Marketing. “This is an important step forward as our customers increasingly migrate toward color.”
