Upcoming Release of PSI Management System Includes Customer Requests and Stronger EFI Product Integration

Press release from the issuing company

Connect - Las Vegas - June 11, 2007 - EFI, the world leader in color digital print servers, superwide format printers and inks, and print management solutions, is previewing the upcoming version of its PSI print management software at Connect 2007, the printing industry's largest user conference taking place through June 13th at the Wynn. The release includes numerous customer-requested updates to the core product, greater web-to-print and Auto-Count® integration, and accounting API improvements.

EFI PSI is one of the industry's leading MIS systems designed for the growing commercial printer with sheet, web and/or flexo equipment, providing modules for estimating, quoting, job management, shop floor data collection, inventory and purchasing.

The upcoming release of PSI will be compatible with the latest operating system offerings from Microsoft® - including SQL 2005, Server 2003 R2, Small Business Server 2003 and Windows Vista - and Crystal v11. It also includes streamlined installers for both the network and client installations which have been very well received by the beta site network administrators.

The release also includes over 25 enhancements as a direct result of input from the PSI User Advisory Council, primarily usability, search and reporting features. In addition, an all new accounting API supports Macola ES, with upcoming support for other accounting packages including QuickBooks.

The future version of PSI has stronger integration to EFI PrinterSite® Internal and PrinterSite Fulfillment solutions. For PrinterSite Internal users, a new "Custom Order Form" allows for job level data to be added to the RFQ when submitting a job, streamlining the process. PSI users of PrinterSite Fulfillment now have tighter integration between this Internet-based fulfillment desktop and the management system workflow, including a new job notes, new ship-to address management, and new unit-of-measure flexibility.

Another highlight of the upcoming version is integration to EFI Auto-Count Lite, a foundation version of the full Auto-Count DMI shop floor data collection solution available as an add-on module. Auto-Count Lite automatically logs material usage, collects, and counts business critical information such as press status and speeds directly from equipment, greatly improving capacity utilization while reducing waste and increasing profitability by enabling companies to more effectively manage their business operations. Now information from Auto-Count Lite will flow seamlessly into PSI, reducing data re-entry and improving reporting capabilities.

"The next version of PSI is focused on customer-requested enhancements and integration improvements that will make using the product more efficient while increasing the quality of the data and reports," said Clay Horsley, EFI PSI Product Manager. "As with our last version, customer input was an important consideration in determining what feature changes were made, and we're sure our users will be pleased with the improvements."
