Kelly Services Selects Pitney Bowes' Group 1 Software
Press release from the issuing company
LANHAM, Md.-- Group 1 Software, Inc., a Pitney Bowes Company, today announced that Kelly Services, Inc., a global staffing solutions provider, has selected its GeoTAX Enterprise Tax Management solution to enhance their U.S. payroll tax jurisdiction assignment process.
By implementing Group 1 Software's GeoTAX Enterprise Tax Management solution, Kelly Services is able to streamline its processes, to achieve operational efficiencies, and to accurately maintain jurisdictional boundary information, including municipal and special payroll district level tax assignments by matching those boundaries with employee addresses. The built-in data quality tools also verify that employee addresses are valid from the point they are entered into the system.
"We selected Group 1 Software to enhance our payroll tax assignment process because their comprehensive solution offers increased functionality and is compatible with our existing systems, which enables us to effectively and seamlessly respond to changing tax boundaries and coding requirements," said Thomas Manceor, vice president of Project Operations for Kelly Services. "The GeoTAX Enterprise Tax Management solution will also improve our record accuracy through address standardization and validation. We look forward to integrating the system."
"For a company like Kelly Services, with hundreds of thousands of employees in thousands of municipal as well as state tax jurisdictions, the time and expense related to researching and assigning payroll tax jurisdictions can be significant," said Steve Walden, vice president of Business Geographics for Group 1 Software. "By implementing our GeoTAX Enterprise Tax Management solution, Kelly Services has a platform that can not only save costs and improve the accuracy of payroll tax jurisdiction assignment, but also be leveraged across the enterprise to automate sales and use and business personal property tax processes, as required."
The GeoTAX Enterprise Tax Management solution is based on Group 1 Software's field-proven GeoTAX software technology currently used by many companies, including major telecommunication companies, to assign sales tax jurisdiction for hundreds of millions of bills per month. Utilizing a modular design to support payroll, business personal property, and insurance premium taxes applications, the GeoTAX Enterprise Tax Management also features easy integration with existing systems and processes, and support for all major enterprise platforms, including mainframes, AS 400, Unix, Linux, and NT, as well as client/server and web-enabled options.
