CGS expands US Operations

Press release from the issuing company

Minneapolis (January 8, 2006) - CGS, the leader in digital proofing and color workflow automated technology, announces the expansion of the North American sales and support teams. "We need to provide our customers not only a great product, but a great organization as well," remarked CGS President and CEO Trevor Haworth. "Due to outstanding growth in sales in North America we need to expand out personnel in these key areas." Marketing With the need for a fresh, creative perspective, Kelly Perkins was brought in to expand CGSí marketing and creative department as Marketing Specialist. Having worked in both broadcast and print media outlets in the past, Perkinsí experience - combined with her youthful attitude - will be in charge of creative and web design, coordination of marketing functions and implementation of media relations. Before CGS, Perkins coordinated, promoted and managed sponsored events for City Pages, an Arts and Entertainments Weekly in the Twin Cities. Perkins graduated with a B.A. in Communications for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. "I feel honored to be a part of such an incredible organization," Perkins remarked. "We have such growth potential within CGS due to the close-knit, hardworking staff - not too mention the variety of great products we provide. I am looking forward to being part of such a team and cannot wait to unveil the new projects and ideas for 2007." Technical Joining CGS as Technical Services Director, Mike Wolfgang will be responsible for heading the technical staff in everyday operations - from the customer response and help desk system to the ongoing development of technical communication tools. Wolfgang formerly led the technical services team, press and digital print within manufacturing at Thomson West in Eagan, Minn. Leading Thomsonís transition to digital color technology, Wolfgang implemented a comprehensive color management program for prepress, offset and digital production areas. "CGS-ORIS was a significant part of the color management program at Thomson and I was impressed both by the company and the products," said Wolfgang. "I had to get involved." Sales CGS also announced the addition of two new faces to its sales force, Kevin Wray and Jay Perreault. With over 26 years of experience in the printing industry, Wray has held numerous positions in sales, marketing and managing. Appointed as the new Midwestern Regional Sales Manger, he will be responsible for driving sales efforts through direct and dealer channels of distribution. Wray comes from Vertis Inc., where he directed the sales team to multi-tiered conceptual selling. Prior to Vertis, Wray held several different positions in operations including Polaroid Graphics, Augment Systems, Purup-Eskofot, Screen Midwest and DuPont Printing and Publishing Co. "CGS has proven that it is the best in the industry for color management and color proofing technologies," commented Wray. "The printing industry has waited too long for a company to finally provide proper color management tools to create proofs that printers can actually print to. CGS is primed to become the industry leader in the management of proofing systems and color managed workflows. I wanted to become a part of this exciting team and help drive its success." Jay Perreault, CGSí most recent addition, has joined the sales team in the newly expanded Southwestern sales region as Sales Manager. After spending several years in the computer IT world with Electronic Data Systems, Perreault joined Heidelberg USA where he became a regional prepress consultant implementing digital CtP systems. Since then he has held various positions in the digital printing and CtP markets including, Punch Graphix Americas, Creo Americas, Lanier Worldwide and BARCO Graphics. "I was attracted to CGS because of the reputation and industry standing," noted Perreault. "As customers move away from expensive contract proofing, they need something that can provide color integrity for the current ink jet market. CGS can provide this." Accounting CGS Financial Controller Bryan Freeland announced the appointment of Terra James as the new Accounting Manager. Complementing the expansion of CGS into Canada and Latin America, James will head the accounting for the new offices in Mexico and Canada. Prior to CGS, James worked as Senior Accountant for the public accounting firm, HLB Tautges Redpath Ltd. "Terra stood out to me as a person that could really grow with CGS," remarked Bryan Freeland, CGSí financial controller. "She has great public accounting experience, a strong work ethic, is intelligent, and has a fun and outgoing personality that fits right in with the team at CGS. She is the right person to help us continue our growth successfully."
