Tabletop Inserter Verification Interface Released by LAKE IMAGE SYSTEMS
Press release from the issuing company
(Henrietta, NY) Lake Image Systems announced a suite of verification solutions for tabletop inserting equipment. According to Pat Hoskins, Lake Image Systems’ VP- Sales & Marketing, “The need for quality verification of personalized documents and mail pieces is not limited to those run on high volume console equipment. The matching of personalized pieces and missing/duplicate piece verification are equally paramount for lower volume jobs.” The expansion of Lake Image Systems IntegraVision product line enables documents to be processed and verified on tabletop inserters via use of OCR control lines or Data Matrix codes rather than just linear bar-codes.
Pat Hoskins says “Too often, document processors are forced to change the format and content of their documents for the subset of which are processed on tabletop inserters. Our expanded solution enables jobs to be processed via use of human readable codes and data matrix codes rather than just linear bar-codes. Especially within the transaction processing niche’, this enables our clients to utilize identical codes and seamless technologies for the printing and processing of all highly personalized pieces. Reprints and custom collations not suitable for the high volume equipment no longer need to be reformatted to run on tabletop equipment. For certain tabletop inserters, IntegraVision even provides file based control of this inserting equipment”
The new solutions include downsized camera technologies for integration into feeder, collator and output sections of tabletop inserters. Lake Image Systems’ suite of verification capabilities including matching, collation control, image archiving and missing/duplicate piece detection is standard functionality for the tabletop solutions. IntegraVision provides automated machine control upon identification of a defect and networkable integrity reporting.
IntegraVision is immediately available from Lake Image systems for field integration in North America and Europe. For additional information, contact Lake Image Systems at (585) 321-3630 or www.lakeimage.com
