Sakurai Wins Good Design Award

(SCHAUMBURG, IL) Sakurai USA has announced that its 66SD/SDP series sheetfed press has been selected as a Good Design Award winner for 2006 by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization. The awards are presented to products chosen for their superior design qualities in a screening process conducted by a jury of specialists. Sakurai first introduced the 20” x 26” press as a four color convertible perfector designated 466SD/SDP at Print ’05 in Chicago. The space saving 466SD/SDP runs at 16,000 IPH and is designed for high speed production applications where a wide variety of substrates are required. The press is capable of printing light weight papers as well as 24 point board. The prestigious Good Design Award was also presented to Sakurai in 2005 for its MS-102SD cylinder screen press. Sakurai screen presses are now exclusively distributed in the US and Canada by Sakurai USA.
