Press release from the issuing company
Nov. 7 -- Quad/Graphics has signed a multi-year, multi-million dollar agreement with VIBE Media Group for the printing and distribution of VIBE and VIBE Vixen.
"We believe the VIBE brand has tremendous growth potential and will be fueled by the strength of our magazines," said Eric Gertler, Chief Executive Officer of VIBE Media Group. "We trust Quad/Graphics and its capabilities will ensure our print products remain competitive and dynamic - the heart of our brand, really - as we continue expanding across multiple media platforms."
"As a recognized force in music publishing, the VIBE titles are a welcome addition to our client roster," said Joel Quadracci, President & CEO of Quad/Graphics. "We look forward to applying our leading edge technology and co-mail solutions to make the VIBE magazine properties the most compelling and competitive they can be."
In total, Quad/Graphics will print approximately 18 million magazines each year in its Sussex, Wis., plant. In addition to housing the nation's largest web offset pressroom, the facility boasts an enormous capacity for co-mailing publishers' magazines for increased postal worksharing discounts.
Added Mr. Gertler: "Mailing efficiency was one of the major reasons we selected Quad/Graphics as our printer of choice. We are truly impressed with the range of postal savings opportunities Quad/Graphics offers publishers and the ease with which it offers them."
