ColorBurst RIP and Epson Stylus Pro 3800 Are First To Be Certified Under New IDEAlliance SWOP and GRACoL Standards

Press release from the issuing company

Ashburn, VA, October 30, 2006 -- ColorBurst Systems (CSE, Inc.) announced today that the ColorBurst RIP Proofing System has been certified by IDEAlliance for the new SWOP and GRACoL standard on the new Epson Stylus Pro 3800 printer. IDEAlliance certification for SWOP and GRACoL is now based on strict colorimetric measurements rather than a visual review to ensure that a system can accurately match a press sheet. The ColorBurst RIP is the first system to pass these new standards, and the first to attain certification on the Epson Stylus Pro 3800. "IDEAlliance presented a challenge with tighter SWOP and GRACoL certification requirements, and we reengineered the ColorBurst RIP to rise to the challenge," said Larry Spevak, President of ColorBurst Systems (CSE, Inc.). "Meeting these standards proves we can match a press sheet as accurately as any system, and we can do it at an affordable price point." The ColorBurst RIP offers a wide range of solutions for photographers, designers, and printing professionals who require accurate color output on different media. ColorBurst includes SpectralVision Pro software powered by X-Rite technology for ICC profiling and linearization. A 15-day unrestricted demo of ColorBurst is available at www.colorburstrip.com.
