Metroplex Finishing Comes out of Bankruptcy

DALLAS, TX -- Metroplex Printing and Finishing has completed its purchase of substantially all of the assets and business of Metroplex Finishing, Inc. The sale, which was conducted with the approval of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas, allows the business of Metroplex Finishing, Inc. to continue uninterrupted and without any inherited liabilities under the ownership of the buyer, Metroplex Printing and Finishing, Inc. As a part of the purchase, Metroplex Printing and Finishing, Inc. will receive substantial working capital funding as it prepares for aggressive growth. In addition, the Company will make substantial improvements to its production capabilities and quality control mechanisms with the addition of equipment and pressroom and bindery expertise. The principals of Metroplex Finishing, Inc. – Rick and Jeremy Dorman – will continue to serve respectively as President and Vice President of the Company. Eric M. Swanson, the representative of the local investor group that partnered with management and the Company’s Chief Executive Officer noted that “The combination of our experience as investors and our managerial and workout expertise and the quality printing and finishing operations of the Company will make us the go-to solution for time-critical printing, bindery, and mail jobs of all sizes.” Metroplex Printing and Finishing, Inc. was formed by a private investor group to serve as the owner of the purchased assets. The Company is a full-service commercial printer with complete bindery, finishing, and mailing operations that operates in a 30,000 square foot facility in Lewisville, Texas.
