Ricoh Corporation Aligns With Tameran to Enhance Solutions for Wide Format Documents

Press release from the issuing company

WEST CALDWELL, N.J., Oct. 19 -- Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, and Tameran Graphic Systems, Inc., the premier supplier of automated folding and finishing systems for wide format documents, today announced Tameran's entry into the Ricoh Technology Alliance Program. Tameran's Printfold Series of automated in-line and off-line folders for wide format documents and its SureStak High Capacity Stacker are compatible with all of Ricoh's wide format printing systems. Ricoh and Tameran view this alliance as a means of providing customers with the most productive and cost-effective solutions for folding and offloading their wide format documents. Tameran's Printfold 2500 in-line folder easily integrates directly with Ricoh's wide format printers and automatically folds prints into portrait, landscape or bookfold packets. The Printfold 2500 is available in a variety of speed ranges and is designed to eliminate the labor required to hand fold printouts. The SureStak High Capacity Stacker enhances printer productivity with its 1,000 sheet capacity offload for A through E-size prints. By offloading up to 1000 prints, the SureStak enables jobs to run unattended, freeing up time for users to complete other tasks. The SureStak automatically adjusts to any speed printer and accepts several types of media including bond, vellum, tracing paper and film. Ricoh currently offers three wide format printers, the Aficio 240W, Aficio 470W and the Aficio 480W. These printers work seamlessly with the Printfold 2500 and the SureStak High Capacity Stacker, greatly increasing the printers' finishing capabilities. "We are pleased to jointly offer cost-effective printing and finishing solutions for the wide format market," said David Wise, vice president of sales and marketing, Tameran Graphic Systems, Inc. "Working together with Ricoh enables us to provide wide format users with the latest capabilities so that they can obtain excellence in performance and reliability and achieve the versatility, flexibility and productivity desired in a finishing solution." Ricoh's Alliance Program encourages leading software companies, content management systems integrators and consulting companies to work together with Ricoh to provide innovative and effective software, digital imaging and content/document management solutions for the business community. The Alliance Program was created for companies whose products and technologies can integrate with and support the competitive stance of Ricoh products and solutions in the marketplace. There are two divisions within the Alliance Program, the Strategic Alliance Program and the Technology Alliance Program. Tameran has joined the Technology Alliance Program, which is comprised of third party software and hardware companies who specialize in niche solution offerings that complement Ricoh hardware and software technologies. "Aligning with a company such as Tameran reinforces our goal of providing customers with total document management solutions to help streamline business operations and reduce costs. We are extremely pleased to have Tameran as a member of the Ricoh Technology Alliance Program and look forward to developing our relationship further in the future," said Hede Nonaka, senior vice president, Document Solution and Services Division, Ricoh Corporation.
