Press release from the issuing company

BOULDER, CO – October 15, 2006 – IBM announced today that IWCO Direct, one of the largest direct marketing firms in the United States, has chosen the Infoprint 4100 production printer to deliver increased speed for segments of IWCO Direct’s demanding environment. IWCO Direct installed IBM’s highest-speed production printer – the Infoprint 4100 model 5/6. “The Infoprint 4100 has delivered on our expectations for a high speed printer that produces quality documents,” said Marc Hacker, Operations Manager, IWCO Direct-New York. “With the appropriate applications, we can print 10 million feet per month on the 4100, delivering a 12% rated speed increase over competing production printers in our environment. In addition, IBM’s service has more than met our expectations. Their attention to our needs and understanding of the direct mail market is excellent.” Speed, Flexibility Help IWCO Direct Provide Exceptional Service Exceptional customer service has been a hallmark for IWCO Direct for more than 35 years. Providing top-notch integrated direct mail services requires flexibility, attention to detail and a relentless commitment to increased productivity. The Infoprint 4100 printer helps IWCO Direct attain these objectives with its blazing fast print speed of up to 330 feet per minute and support for 240 dot per inch (dpi), 300 dpi and 600 dpi print jobs with a single toner, requiring only the push of a button to switch between resolutions. With its seamless integration into IWCO Direct’s existing environment, the printer has been a welcome addition to the company's daily production runs. In addition, the Infoprint 4100’s ability to produce grayscale images has enabled IWCO Direct to continue growing a new product offering. The grayscale capabilities allow for better presentation of bar and pie charts, using different shades of gray to display data clearly and accurately. IBM’s unique Print Quality Enhancement technology can generate 256 levels of gray, four screen frequencies and seven levels of contrast control. IBM Committed to the Needs of Direct Mailers “We’re committed to providing the products and services that meet the demanding needs of direct mail firms,” said Christopher Reid, global solutions manager for IBM’s Printing Systems Division. “We have solutions that can help them maintain productivity and quality with printers that support a variety of stocks, enhanced fusing toner for improved media flexibility and high quality MICR capabilities.”
