Chromaticity and EFI Launch EFI's New Premium Proofing Media

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. and FOSTER CITY, Calif, Oct. 10, 2006 - Chromaticity, Inc., the recognized leader in deploying color management and inkjet technology, and EFI, the world leader in digital controllers, superwide format printers and inks and print management solutions, today launched EFI's new Validation 250 Premium Satin proofing media for the graphic arts and design markets. Customers will benefit from EFI's Validation proofing media through simplified installations, improved productivity, increased profitability and ease of service and support.
Validation 250 Premium Satin from EFI is a 250 gram/square meter premium grade proofing media. Chromaticity will be the sole North American distributor. EFI's Validation 250 Premium Satin is designed for use with Epson UltraChrome K3 and similar ink sets. This media features a white point and gamut capacity specifically engineered to meet the requirements of high-end commercial proofing as defined by GRACoL 7, the Graphic Communications Association graphics arts task force's newest guidelines for quality color printing.
Validation joins several EFI products Chromaticity distributes to the North American graphic arts reseller channel, including EFI's industry-leading web-to-print platform, Digital StoreFront"Pre-press Workflow solutions, and the scalable and versatile client/server- based proofing solution driven by Bestcolor Technology, EFI Colorproof XF.
