PTP Ambassador Programs & Lake Image Systems

Press release from the issuing company

November 6, 2007 - (Henrietta, NY) People to People Ambassador Programs (PTP) is one of the most effective educational travel providers in the world.  As one of the top-30 small businesses in the United States, according to Forbes Magazine, People to People has accelerated their growth through innovative thinking and use of their name matching, in-line inkjet, and invisible ink verification solutions from Lake Image Systems (LIS).
PTP utilizes LIS' IntegraVision IQ for matching of multiple pieces without the need for bar-codes, data matrix codes, or sequence numbers.  As designed and specified by Paul Bruhn, Insert and Presort Manager, variable page collations are read by an LIS camera in a sheet feeder and matched to a personalized insert in the chassis of a mail inserter.  An in-line IntegraJET IQ inkjet system at the inserter output then prints the matching name and address on the closed-face envelope.  By reading and matching actual names, PTP eliminates the need for any other unique identifiers.
PTP also utilizes an LIS' invisible ink reading IntegraVision system to track and record undeliverable invitations and responses to mailings.  The invisible ink allows PTP to implement tracking through unique identifiers – that are not visible to the recipient!  PTP has processed over 8 Million invisible ink items utilizing LIS' IntegraVision camera systems.
The ability to process and track pieces based on reading names and by utilizing invisible ink has enabled PTP to grow their customer base and expand into new geographic markets.  According to Tom Glassman, Director of Marketing, "a highly targeted and personalized solicitation provides us with greater response from our targeted audience… Lake Image Systems' solutions allow us to process our marketing efforts in an automated fashion that optimizes personalization, improves production throughputs, and provides complete accountability of our processed items."
