xpedx Richmond Division Moves Into New, Class A Logistics/Distribution Center And Offices

RICHMOND, VA, October 4, 2006 -- xpedx said it will begin operations on Monday, October 9, at its new Class A distribution/logistics center and offices in the metropolitan Richmond town of Ashland, VA. The state-of-the-art, 65,000-square foot, "high-cube" facility located in the Northlake Business Park in Hanover County features new offices for xpedx and 24 dock doors in the warehouse. All 54 Richmond Division employees including customer service and sales representatives, packaging service technicians, drivers and office employees are moving to the new xpedx center. xpedx also recently acquired a new fleet of seven highly fuel-efficient trucks that operate from the facility. "This new facility will allow xpedx to more efficiently and effectively serve customers across the region," said John R. Ransone, Vice President and General Manager of the xpedx Richmond Division. xpedx is North America's largest marketer and distributor of printing papers and graphics supplies and equipment. It is also a large national distributor of packaging supplies and equipment as well as facility supplies and equipment, which includes janitorial and sanitation products. xpedx customers include printers, publishers, manufacturers and retailers of all sizes. The new xpedx facility, located a quarter-mile from the I-95/Exit 89 Interchange (Lewistown Road), serves metro Richmond and communities from the west central region of Virginia south to the Northern Neck of the state.
