Tensor Installs Additional Presses at Hurriyet in Turkey

WOODRIDGE, IL (October 31, 2007) - Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik A.S., a subsidiary of Dogan Yayin Holding (DYH) of Istanbul, Turkey, awarded Tensor Group, Inc. a contract for additional T-1400 press equipment for their Adana and Antalya locations. The new equipment was sold through Pasifik Ic ve Dis Tic. ve Müm. A.S., Tensor's Turkish agency.
In the Adana DPC plant, Tensor supplied 19 T-1400 units and one upper former, which was added onto an existing Tensor press. The units are arranged as three 4-highs, three 2-highs and one stacked unit.
The Adana press became a 95-unit, 3-folder press after this recent installation was completed, giving the Dogan group of newspapers increased color pagination capacity.
At the Antalya DPC plant, Tensor supplied 26 T-1400 units and one H-50 folder, which was added onto an existing Tensor press. The units are configured as six 4-high towers and one 2-high with auxiliaries.
The original Tensor equipment at the Antalya plant was added onto two Goss Community presses. With the recent addition of the Tensor T-1400 equipment, the Antalya plant now has a complete Tensor pressline consisting of 34 units, giving them a pagination capability of 40 pages with 32 color pages for printing the flagship Hurriyet newspaper.
Dogan Printing Centers are owned by Dogan Publishing Holdings (DYH), publisher of many highly recognized daily newspapers. All group titles are printed in Dogan Printing Centers located in six major cities in Turkey. The total circulation of the group titles can reach up to 3,500,000 copies during the weekends. The titles published and printed at the Adana Dogan Printing Center plant include Hurriyet, Milliyet, Posta, Radikal, Fanatik, Gözcü and Finansal Forum. In addition to the DYH group titles, three other national titles are also printed in DPC as contract jobs.
