Printware Introduces an End-to-End Workflow Solution

Press release from the issuing company

ST. PAUL, MN, September 28, 2006— Printware, LLC, a long-time provider of innovative pre-press solutions, today announced the introduction of its new Quickflow end-to-end workflow solution. Quickflow is an adaptable and intuitive approach to simplifying prepress production steps through automation. Unlike most of the workflow systems on the market, Quickflow interfaces directly to PDF or raster files creating a seamless job control at an affordable price. This new system will be demonstrated at the Graph Expo ‘06 Show in Chicago, October 15-18, 2006 in Booth 4665. “Quickflow has been designed to address every aspect of the production process in an easy to design and manage environment. Its ability to manage both pre and post RIP functions makes it a very powerful and robust tool for printers,” stated Jack Makowski, Vice President of Business Development. Some of the Quickflow modules include PDF generation, preflighting, soft and hard proofing (content and approval), high resolution device (e.g. imagesetters, platesetters) output, and automated ink key setting. Because of Quickflow’s open architecture, it is easy to integrate various other pre and post RIP functions. At the heart of the system is the HighWater Torrent RIP and various applications such as HighWater’s Pixelproof ROOM proofing and Ink Monitor CIP 3/4 generator and ink key driver. Quickflow is a prime example of Printware’s continuing effort to deliver ongoing value to its printing customers. Quickflow is part of a series of innovative solutions from Printware and its affiliate, HighWater Designs, being introduced this year.
