September 29, 2006 -- The Board of St Ives notes the recent increase in the Company’s share price and confirms that it has received a preliminary approach relating to a potential offer for the Company. There is no certainty that this approach will lead to an offer. A further announcement will be made as and when appropriate.
Printweek, a UK trade publication noted that St Ives' share price shot up by almost a fifth yesterday following news that an approach has been made . The firm's share price had risen to 260p at the close of trading on Thursday, up 18.7%, from its opening price on Thursday morning of 223.95p.
