NUR Macroprinters Expands UV- and Solvent-Ink Product Line-up with New Presses and Enhancements

LOD, Israel--Sept. 7, 2006-- NUR Macroprinters, a leading supplier of wide-format inkjet production presses for the printing industry today announced multiple new presses and enhancements to existing presses, across all its product lines. All of the new products and enhancements have backward compatibility to allow customers to upgrade existing presses to the new models' level of performance, thus protecting their investments. The new NUR Macroprinters product line-up includes: NUR Tempo(TM) Q The new NUR Tempo Q flatbed UV-inkjet press, based on the robust NUR Tempo platform, delivers even higher quality, up to true 1080 dpi, for spectacular print quality; Flatbed add-on module for NUR Expedio(TM) roll-to-roll press A new flatbed add-on module for the NUR Expedio 3200 makes it the most affordable production flatbed press in the market; NUR Fresco(TM) III press A new, high speed and improved quality version of the popular NUR Fresco solvent-ink based production press, with speeds up to 144 sq.m (1,550 sq.ft) /hr.; On-press Automated Color Management tool (ACM) A new on-press ACM, streamlines the process of building ICC color profiles on NUR presses, thus improving customer's productivity. New NUR Tempo Q high-resolution press The NUR Tempo Q is a new, higher resolution version of NUR's popular flatbed UV-inkjet press providing print speeds up to 70 sq.m (750 sq.ft) /hr., with higher color density and improved print quality. This advanced press prints on both rigid and roll-fed media and is designed to produce outstanding image quality up to true 1080 dpi to be used to print a wide range of applications. The NUR Tempo Q is based on the successful NUR Tempo platform, with over 150 installations worldwide, using it for the last 3 years. New Flatbed module for the NUR Expedio 3200 The new Flatbed module includes a simple mounting mechanism that makes it fast and easy to switch between rigid and roll-fed printing modes. The new flatbed module enables printing on rigid substrates of up to 3.2m (10.5 ft) wide by unlimited length. A new flatbed add-on module for the NUR Expedio 3200 wide-format UV-inkjet production press is designed to ensure maximum media flexibility and compatibility with a wide variety of applications ranging from point of purchase materials to billboards, on the same press. With this upgrade, current NUR Expedio 3200 users can now enjoy the benefits and flexibility of a flatbed machine, while achieving a fast return on their investment. A new higher speed and improved quality NUR Fresco III The latest version of the popular NUR Fresco is the NUR Fresco III, a solvent-ink based, 3.2m (10.5ft) wide-format inkjet production press. The press provides higher color density and faster print speeds than prior models -- up to 144 sq.m (1,550 sq.ft) /hr.. NUR offers an upgrade to current NUR Fresco customers giving them access to new levels of productivity and quality. New workflow capabilities with NUR's Auto Color Management tool (ACM) NUR has joined forces with a leading provider of color measurement systems to develop a new on-press Automated Color Management tool (ACM) for NUR Macroprinters' wide-format presses. The new ACM provides a non-contact spectrophotometer mounted on a NUR press that will enable customers to easily and seamlessly generate ICC color profiles. The new on-press ACM is expected to improve overall output quality by generating accurate color profiles for each job and media type used, thereby eliminating human error and improving efficiency by dramatically streamlining the color profiling process.
